Had he had controlled his 'demons' and knuckled down to his game, he would have definitely won more tournaments. But whatever, he single handily bought snooker to the masses and made it as popular and profitable as it is today so professional players of the game have a lot to thank Higgins for.

As a kid I loved watching Alex anytime he was on TV playing.

I've seen this finish quite a few times now, and even though it was exhibition snooker, no pressure, that's two of the best shots ever seen, the type of shots Higgins pulled off all his career when under all sorts of pressure. "..i visualised it, and if you believe it, you can do all sorts..", and he very often did, in the early days anyway, a truly unique player, even if he wasn't everyones cup of tea. R.I.P. Alex
